The design is completely variable.

Standard is of course a rectangle design (1:2); with curves or edges: 10 x 20, 15 x 20; 15 x 30; 20 x 30, 20 x 40. Ellipse or round ice Rinks are also possible. The more the design differs from standard size the more efforts have to be done to customize. Columns in the Ice Rink can be integrated.

About Budget,

Please see the Rule: The smaller the better. Worst case is an Ice Rink without skaters. Full Ice Rinks create a band waggon effect to join, but this works also the other way around! You can calculate per 3 m² one visitor at the same time to see capacity.

For short time Rental you need good Ice and all visual things shall be fine! Board, Skates, Location itself. All other like Machine Ice resurfacing is luxury and does not pay off usually. Our systems are ready for Plug and Play; easy to install.

Revenue sources are:

1. Tickets of course (incl. or with separate charge for skates)

2. Sponsoring or advertisement plates

To get a full Ice rink sponsor (e.g. Telekom, “CocaCola”, Electricity company) is of course best. You can also combine big sponsors for each barrier side (so max. 4). Most complicated is to sell each 2m panel. But anyhow it takes time. So please start in time.

Cost drivers are

1. Land itself (in shopping malls the alternative earnings via. Having an attraction more and a return from visitors (without use); outdoor to get Land for free.

2. Electricity: an 450 m² Ice rink may consume from 2.000 – 4.000 Euro per month (depending on price, indoor – outdoor, etc.). depending on ice field typos it even differs by 20%. Having a sponsor helps a lot.

3. Beneath purchasing price and rental cost: Keep infrastructure like underfloor under control.

For these five points you shall have for 3 a favourable solution; otherwise you never get back your investment.

Ice Resurfacing for medium size Ice Rinks is a need but has not an end in itself! Ice Resurfacers are expensive in purchase/rent in relation to the size of the Ice Rink and the time of use. Doing nothing is also not an option. What are the solutions to have good ice surface and less cost?
