An indoor ice rink in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt 2013


Welcome to the coolest place in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt! In 2013, we created something revolutionary: an indoor ice rink right in the middle of the desert! 300 square meters of pure fun and refreshment, even when outside temperatures reach 45°C, thanks to a state-of-the-art air cooling system powered by Solkav cooling technology. The concept of an indoor ice rink in such a warm climate might seem ambitious, but the implementation in Sharm El Sheikh was a great success at the time. Visitors glided effortlessly across the ice while the sun shone outside. A truly unique experience! But it's best to see it for yourself.

Architectural Innovation in Aarhus, Denmark 2016


Today, we would like to introduce you to one of our past projects from 2016: an architectural innovation in Aarhus, Denmark! With the launch of this ice rink, Aarhus became a center of modern architecture. This is a stunning example of contemporary design, featuring elegant elements like white EPDM surfaces. The oak benches are not only seating areas but also solar energy collectors, providing a perfect blend of form and function. Visitor safety and accessibility are ensured by the organically shaped oak handrails. Every detail was carefully considered to create a harmonious environment.

Project Ice Rink Istanbul In the vibrant city of Istanbul, the winter of 2016 brought an exciting addition to its cultural landscape: the Solkav Alu Star Ice Rink

With impressive dimensions of 20 x 65 meters, this mobile ice rink introduced the best technology in outdoor ice skating, designed to withstand the heat and sun of the city while providing an unforgettable experience for locals and tourists

Representing a fusion of cutting-edge technology and recreational enjoyment, the Alu Star Ice Rink offers ice skating enthusiasts a unique opportunity to glide elegantly beneath the Istanbul skyline. Unlike traditional outdoor rinks, which are often limited by weather conditions, this innovative structure features resilience to the elements, ensuring consistent and enjoyable ice skating from December to March and beyond.

The decision to introduce the Alu Star Ice Rink in Istanbul not only enriched the city’s cultural offering but also reflected a commitment to sustainability and adaptability.

The completed 29.5 x 11.5 square meter ice rink in the heart of Tbilisi, Georgia, quickly became a beloved attraction, drawing crowds of all ages. We are incredibly proud to see so many people enjoying themselves on the ice! Due to the overwhelming success, the project was even extended by an additional week, allowing more visitors to experience the joy of skating in this picturesque setting.

This ice rink, with its perfect blend of technical innovation and inviting design, not only added a festive touch to the city center but also provided a fun, active gathering spot for families, friends, and tourists alike. The Solkav team worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience, and their dedication has truly paid off.

The ice rink has been painted like a work of art with glossy white, which creates a stunning effect when illuminated by natural light sources or spotlights!

Project in Ferlach, Austria, 2024


In Ferlach, near Klagenfurt—a region known for its passion for ice hockey—the international hockey academy HTC Ferlach is making waves! Renowned for its success and growing reputation, HTC Ferlach is significantly expanding its facilities. Ice capacity will be doubled: a 30 x 60 ice surface, a 27 x 58 ice surface, and two 13 x 25 ice surfaces are planned.

Ski Resort in Armisoy,

Usbekistan 2022


The Ski Resort project in Armisoy, Uzbekistan, which was completed in January 2022. High in the mountains at 1,300 meters, the Armisoy ski resort offers exciting attractions and entertainment all year round! The facility is designed for 12-month operation and can accommodate up to 600 visitors at the same time. Whether summer or winter, there is always something to do here! In winter there are activities such as ice skating or Bavarian curling on the special ice rink. The surfaces are robust and perfectly prepared for winter activities. In summer, the main area turns into an inline skating arena and the curling area becomes a beach volleyball court! So fun and sport are guaranteed.
