At Solkav, we prioritize quality and durability in the production of our boarding materials, which is why we use Siberian larch 🌲🌲🌲 — renowned for its strength and natural resistance to harsh weather conditions. The boards are 27 x 145 mm thick, providing a robust foundation for any exterior application. To further enhance the wood’s durability and aesthetic appeal, each board is oiled 3 times using SÜDWEST Fassaden-Öl, a high-solid natural oil specially formulated for the protection and care of exterior timbers. Additionally, it boasts high weather resistance, ensuring the wood remains in excellent condition, even when exposed to extreme outdoor elements. For the best results, we recommend applying the SÜDWEST Fassaden-Öl in two thin layers, undiluted, to create a strong protective coating that enhances the wood’s longevity. Before applying the oil, it is essential to remove any weathered or existing paint coats from the surface. For older wood, we advise cleaning and lightening it with SÜDWEST Holz-Entgrauer, which restores the wood’s natural color and prepares it for optimal oil absorption.

Our latest success story: the retrofit of an old ice rink in Shymkent, Kazakhstan! 😌 ⛸️ Thanks to a recommendation from the mountains near Tashkent, Uzbekistan, we were tasked with completely overhauling the cooling system and the ice field 🛠️ We upgraded the chiller to the latest generation with 4 Bitzer compressors and even installed a glycol re-cooler on the roof (60 meters away), capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 50°C 🔝 With PP piping between the cooling system and the re-cooler, we've connected everything perfectly ✅ The ice field now shines in bright white, ready for endless ice skating and fun! ⛸️
